Technical Barriers


Limitations of educational institutions can be costly to install difficult to change. Some of the educational barriers include:
 

  • Difficulty with the assimilation of curriculum

  • Student-staff communication

  • Outdated infrastructure

  • Increased faculty training and workload

  • Limited institutional and technology support

  • Superficial learning

Adopting the M-Learning can be a challenging process for some learners and educators due to personal intrinsic factors. Some of the social barriers include:
 

  • Negative perceptions and interest

  • Digital literacy and technical competence

  • Commitment to M-Learning practices

  • Background and past experiences

  • Distractedness


Using technology in educational settings will always pose difficulties in use and implementation. Some of the technical barriers include:
 

  • Accessibility and affordability (device, data, connectivity costs)

  • Operational limitations

  • Cross-platform compatibility

  • Wireless connectivity

  • Limited IT support
